Exhale
Ego Exhalo
There were moments I felt like I couldn’t breathe. I thought I was going to succumb to my own woes, my anxiety, and the feelings of self-loathing I had been battling with for months. I was suffocating in my own head; help was nowhere in sight. These thoughts couldn’t be put into enough words. No matter how thorough I was in explaining them, the weight of this pain could never be lifted. I felt burdened by the sense that it was constantly pressing down on my chest, and I was sure that everyone around me could see it. I was sure that they could see how weak I was. I was sure that they were judging me. I grappled with the decision to give up for weeks before finally arriving at my breaking point. It was through this experience I realized I needed to persevere. In the name of those that had fallen before they could see me succeed, in the name of those that believed in me before I could believe in myself, I knew I needed to break through. In those moments, life had become so simple, I became conscious in my meditation, I closed my eyes and did a crucial exercise: inhale, exhale.
